Bambi – a Warrior?

08 Jul

Caleb and I watched Bambi last night.  Justice was busy bouncing and balancing off the side of the blow- up mattress.  Caleb’s eyes got big when Bambi was protecting his girl friend, Faline.  He also got really excited when he saw Bambi with horns.  We talked about how Bambi was protecting his friend, and how important it is to watch out for those close to us.

Also, Caleb was most impressed by Stag, Bambi’s daddy.  Caleb thought he was a bad guy at first.  Sometimes the strong silent warriors can come across that way.  I pointed out to Caleb that he was watching out for Bambi and all the forest, like daddy watches out for him and all the people when I am doing police work.

Who knew that Bambi had lessons of a warrior?  Lessons on protection, friendship, loyalty, and family.  I almost missed the opportunity to watch the movie with my son last night.  Take the moments, because you never know what valuable warrior lessons you’ll discover, even in Bambi.

Amazing too how our heavenly Father rescues us from a lake of fire…and we know the sound of our Father’s voice on this earth when He tells us to wake up! Awesome

I am always amazed when I hear stories like this. God put a defender in each and everyone of us, that is why we have such a strong reaction to injustice and oppression.
What great life lessons being shared. Maybe if there is a remake, it will be called BAMBO! Pardon my goofy sense of humor, please.
